Senator Ekwunife Mourns Former Campaign Coordinator, Hon Ilobi




The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and members of her campaign organization on Friday attended the burial of Hon Christopher Uchenna Ilobi (Nwajiugo), who was the Idemili North Coordinator of the Organization between 2015 and 2017.

During the burial held at Ogbu village Abatete in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, the Chairman of the organization, Sir Ichie Edwin Ubboh while condoling the family of Hon Ilobi described the death of Hon Ilobi as a huge loss. He noted that Late Ilobi served the campaign organization productively during his time as the Idemili North Coordinator.

Sir Ubboh, while expressing sadness over Ilobi’s demise encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that late Ilobi lived a life of honour during his time on earth. He prayed God to console them at this moment of grief.

On her part, Senator Ekwunife described late Ilobi as a coordinator who added value to the activities of her campaign team during the period he served as her campaign coordinator. She noted that late Ilobi will be sorely missed by her political family and everyone who had worked closely with him.

Ekwunife prayed God to grant Hon Ilobi eternal rest and give his family, friends and the campaign organization the fortitide to bear the loss.

In their reaction, the family appreciated the Senator for her assistance throughout the period of Hon Ilobi’s prolonged illness. They noted that her interventions assisted the family greatly in meeting up with the medical expenses of their deceased brother and father. The family also expressed their gratitude to the Senator for physically paying condolence to late Ilobi with the members of her campaign organization even though he ceased to be her coordinator years before his death. They prayed the good lord to uplift and reward her kind gestures towards the family.

Also in attendance were the Director General of the Campaign Organization, Dr. A. A. Anagu, Directors of the Organization Cyril Udoh, Hon Chuka Okpoko; LGA and Youth Coordinators of the campaign organization and others.
