Parents of the female student almost killed by a male classmate over grades competition, withdraw her from the school

The parents of the female pupil who was almost killed with acid by a jealous classmate at Lekki British International School, Lagos, have withdrawn her from the school.

A family member of the said girl claims that the school allegedly blamed the girl for ‘provoking’ the boy into the act, and the principal forced her to write a letter of apology.

An official of Lekki British school has however stated that the 12-year-old boy has now been expelled from the school but the girl’s family insist that they are not aware of the expulsion as they were just informed that the boy would be given a week suspension after their exams.

They have now withdrawn her from the school as the incident was traumatizing and threatened legal action over the alleged indifference of the school management.
